What You Should Wear to Your Boudoir Shoot

A big part of boudoir is the wardrobe, but with so many lingerie options out there, picking your outfits can seem a bit overwhelming. I’m a big believer that confidence is super sexy, so as long as you’re wearing something you feel gorgeous in, you’ll look sexy. But we should probably break down all your options so you’re totally prepared for your boudoir photo shoot.

Bras and Panties

This is a staple. It’s a go-to for lots of women during boudoir shoots, but I think this pairing can be spiced up. I love high waisted panties and garter belts make everything sexier. Plus, if you have any issues with your tummy, high waisted items and belts hide it.

If you want to emphasize your hourglass figure, you should bring a corset to your boudoir photo shoot. Corsets can be a little tricky to get into and lace up, but they are sexy and elegant. Plus, they’ll make your tatas look amazing!

Baby Dolls

Baby dolls are my favorite. I absolutely adore them. They look feminine, delicate and amazing on everyone. Plus, there’s a lot of details we could play around with during the shoot. It’s easy to tease your hunnie if you’re rocking a baby doll.

Teddies are a lot like swimsuits but more revealing. They cover the chest, waist and crotch in one piece. And they are super sexy! They are very form fitting, so if you’re worried you won’t feel totally comfortable in it, then you may want to pass on wearing a teddy to your first boudoir shoot. Once you’re comfortable in front of the camera, try a teddy.

Boudoir Accessories

High Heels: I feel like these are a must. You don’t need to wear them with every outfit (barefoot is sexy too) but there’s something about a pair of heels that just makes you feel like a supermodel.

Stockings: Thigh high stockings have a vintage vibe to them. They feel old school glamourous. They aren’t a must-have, but they are sexy.

Jewelry: A big, blinging necklace is sure to draw your hubby’s eyes to the right spot *wink wink.* If you want to feel glamourous, then you need some sparkle. Something I really love is taking photos of wedding rings, so make sure your rock is polished.

This list is a great starting point as your begin shopping for lingerie. If you have any questions about what to wear or what would work for your body shape, I would love to answer them! We can even set up a shopping day and I can help you pick out the perfect outfits for your boudoir photo shoot.
