You've booked your boudoir session and you're counting down the days until your moment in front of the camera. It's an exciting time, and I'm here to help you make the most of it! Here are 10 things you can do to prepare for your boudoir session and ensure it's an unforgettable experience:
Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate: Keeping your skin hydrated is key to achieving that radiant glow in your photos. Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your session to ensure your skin looks and feels its best.
Get Plenty of Rest: Beauty sleep is real, my friend! Make sure you're well-rested the night before your session so you can look and feel refreshed.
Plan Your Outfits: Take some time to plan out your wardrobe for the shoot. Choose outfits that make you feel confident and comfortable, whether it's lingerie, a cozy sweater, or a favorite pair of jeans. If you don't own anything you want to wear, no worries. At Buxom Boudoir, we have a size inclusive wardrobe at the studio you can check out.
Practice Posing: Spend some time practicing different poses in front of a mirror to find what works best for you. You can also check out some boudoir posing guides online for inspiration. We're also here to guide you and help with posing during the entire session, so you don't have to know what you're doing!
Treat Yourself to a Pampering Session: Schedule a spa day or treat yourself to a DIY pampering session at home. Get a manicure, pedicure, or facial to help you feel relaxed and pampered before your session. Bonus tip - now isn't the time to experiment with new skincare! Stick to what you know.
Eat a Nourishing Meal: Fuel your body with a nutritious meal before your session to keep your energy levels up. Avoid heavy or greasy foods that might make you feel sluggish. DO NOT SKIP BREAKFAST BECAUSE YOU WANT TO LOOK "THINNER." Having an energized, happy body is WAY more important than that.
Pack Your Bag: Don't forget to pack your bag with all the essentials for your session, including any outfits, accessories, and props you want to bring along.
Communicate with Your Photographer: If you have any specific ideas or concerns about your session, don't hesitate to communicate them with your photographer. They're there to ensure you feel comfortable and confident throughout the process.
Practice Self-Love: Take some time to practice self-love and affirmations in the days leading up to your session. Remind yourself how beautiful and deserving you are of this experience.
Trust the Process: Finally, trust in yourself and the process. Embrace the experience with an open heart and mind, and know that you're going to absolutely rock your boudoir session!
I hope these tips help you feel prepared and excited for your upcoming boudoir session. Remember, it's all about celebrating you and embracing your beauty, inside and out. Can't wait to see you shine! Never miss a sale or studio update at Buxom Boudoir by joining our newsletter:
